San DIego Acupuncture
Jennifer Moffitt has been actively involved in science and alternative medicine for over 20
years.  She has a BS in Environmental Toxicology from UC Davis, after which she worked as a
research scientist in analytical toxicology.

Her work in western science was coupled with a deep interest in traditional medicine.
After years studying modalities such as reiki, therapeutic massage and homeopathy,  she
returned to pursue a graduate work in Oriental Medicine at the Pacific College of Oriental
Medicine (NY and San Diego campuses), where she graduated
summa cum laude.  She is
Board Certified nationally in Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology.

Jennifer has traveled extensively, both in the US and abroad, studying many forms of
natural healing and herbology.  She continues advanced studies in traditional Japanese
acupuncture and herbology (Kampo) with noted teachers such as Nigel Dawes, and is
working on PhD Level course work with Dr. Jeffrey Yuen at AUCM.
Jennifer founded The Healing Arts Center of San Diego with the goal of providing truly
integrative patient care, and to serve as a teaching resource for physicians and other
therapists to learn about how best to include integrative medicine in their practices.  She
maintains a bilingual acupuncture practice in addition to teaching, writing, and serving as
an ancillary provider for Sharp Rees Stealy and UCSD Medical Center.
The Center specializes in:
  1. Chronic pain and illness
  2. Disgestive Issues, including non-surgical treatment of
    gallstones
  3. Sports medicine and injuries
  4. Minimizing side effects from chemotherapy, HAART, or
    other drug therapies (e.g. interferon)
  5. Fertility and women's health (PMS, menopause)
She has served as a clinician and supervisor for Project Viidai: Viaje
Interinstitutional de Integracion, Docente, Assistencia y
Investigacion
, a joint venture with SDSU School of Public Health
and Tijuana’s
Universidad Autonoma de Baja California (UABC)
School of Medicine, with the goal of providing service to
underserved communities in Mexico and promoting health with no
boundaries.
