Many people find that their insurance will reimburse them for the cost of acupuncture.

Traditionally, folks with a PPO have better coverage for acupuncture services than HMO
patients.  Many employers offer FLEX 125 plans which allow acupuncture as a covered benefit.

Before coming into the clinic, call your insurance provider and ask them about "
network" and
"
out-of-network" coverage for acupuncture to determine your benefits. Our office provides a
cash discount for patients who want to pay their charges at the time of service.

For patients with no coverage for treatment, we also offer a senior discount, and have a
discounted fee schedule for those on a limited income.  Verification of income is needed to
qualify.

Please call us to help determine your acupuncture coverage.

Insurance coverage for acupuncture services is fairly recent, and we have learned a lot about
the industry from our colleagues in the chiropractic profession.  At this time, the center has
elected to not affiliate with most HMOs because we would have to reduce the amount of time
we spend per patient (to about 6 minutes), and we are restricted from including treatment
modalities such as direct moxabustion and myofascial release which are fundamental to our
practice.
